About this deal

You then reduce the number of dice in that pool by a number equal to the Wounds characteristic of the Reanimated model and repeat this process until either there are no more reassembling models, or the number of dice remaining in the pool is less than the Wounds characteristic of any of the reassembling models. Any models that did not Reanimate fail to reassemble, and any dice remaining in the pool are discarded. Directive 1: Each time this unit uses its Living Metal ability, each model in this unit regains 1 additional lost wound. Anrakyr has little desire to start war for its own sake -- his forces are too meagre for wanton hostility -- but to arrive on a slumbering Tomb World to discover its catacombs collapsed and its resources plundered is enough to drive him into an abiding rage that bodes ill for the perpetrators. Cannot, if it is your Charge phase, be set up closer to any enemy units that are targets of a charge declared by its unit this phase.

Veil of Darkness - A Necron Lord can use this arcane technology to summon a Veil of Darkness, which twists about the Lord like a ghostly cloak blown by an ethereal breeze. When the darkness ebbs, the Lord and those nearby will have disappeared, only to reappear mysteriously some distance away moments later, providing an unmatched tactical advantage. Necron Lords are easily marked out through the elaborate decorations with which they are adorned. In some cases these take the form of ancient, mouldering robes, possibly dating from before biotransference. Others are clad in tabards and cloaks of shining, segmented metal. Perhaps this choice of attire gives some insight into the minds of these immortal rulers, differentiating those who long for a return to flesh from those who embrace their undying form. A Necron Tomb World is home to dozens, or even hundreds, of Necron nobles, but only one has the power of absolute rule. For most of a dynasty's coreworlds and fringeworlds this individual is a Necron Lord, while Necron crownworlds and particularly important coreworlds will be ruled by Necron Overlords. A particularly powerful Overlord, known as a phaeron, will also lay claim to a crownworld, from which they rule their entire dynasty. If every unit from your army (excluding DYNASTIC AGENT, C’TAN SHARD and UNALIGNED units) is from the same dynasty, and you select a NECRONS CHARACTER model to be your WARLORD, this unit is eligible to benefit from this ability and the following rules apply. Necron Lord Iohketh, the Vindicator of Gralehk, to Vargard Cahleh'sti prior to the razing of Hive AscalonNecron names have a heavy ancient Egyptian feel to them, which is also shown in their culture. Since the Necrons are all robots with no gender, I didn't separate the names into male and female. This name generator will give you 10 random names for the Necron, part of the Warhammer 40k universe. His personal sepulchre is heavily woven with traps, his personal household retinue boasts three entire legions of Lychguard, and he even employs four score food tasters -- even though it has been countless millennia since any morsel passed his lips. Yet Zahndrekh has one defence greater than all others -- his aide and protector, Varguard Obyron. A Necron Lord is the most sophisticated of the ancient species of soulless, machine xenos known as the Necrons and a former noble of the Necron dynasties. A Necron Lord serves as the commander and energy supply for the much larger Necron armies composed of the standard Necron Warriors.

The miniature is particularly busy but I can see what the design team were going for with this miniature. It shows the Necron Overlord phasing in with plenty of negative space in the mix, achieving that effect. I do really like the way they have designed it but this feels more like a display piece than something for the gaming table. I'm sure that this will be one of those marmite miniatures that some will absolutely love whilst others really don't! Fringeworlds were often poor or distant colonies of a dynasty, able to contribute to the wider realm only in terms of manual labour or as a location for penal institutions.A Necron Dynasty can include vast numbers of Tomb Worlds, while a Necron Overlord who has risen to the rank of phaeron rules over an entire sector and has a court of lesser Overlords to do their bidding. Soon after the Necron Warriors are reawakened and begin reconnaissance patrols of the region of the world surrounding their tombs. Using the information gained by these Necron Warriors' scouting missions, the Tomb World's automated systems assess the current circumstances that dominate its environment. The Necrons are a species of robotic humanoids. They're one of the oldest species in the universe, but they did not start out as vicious robotic killing machines. At his command are all the armaments of the ancient Necron civilisation: Warscythes, Tachyon Arrows and the other extraordinary tools of destruction forged by Necrontyr science. Yet perhaps a Necron noble's most potent weapon remains his mind and the absolute determination that resides there to reforge the ancient Necron empire. Unknown Date.M41 Conquest of Uttu Prime - The Conquest of Uttu Prime was a military campaign led by Nemesor Zahndrekh against the Imperial world of Uttu Prime in the Vidar Sector in the 41st Millennium. Despite the intervention of a force of Space Marines drawn from the Imperial Fists Chapter, the world was lost to the Necrons and was integrated into the personal domain of Zahndrekh within the larger Sautekh Dynasty. Amongst the Necron nobles of a Tomb World, political infighting is common and there are always countless schemes playing out, albeit at a glacial pace by the standards of other intelligent species. As a result of their machine natures, all Necrons tend towards calculating behaviour and a pretender will rarely move openly against his opponent if the chance of success is outweighed by the high probability of failure.

Necron Tomb Worlds appear to have no permanent organisation or command structure, nor is the interaction of the various forces altogether clear to the savants of the Imperium. The Necrons' form of warfare could best be described as a continuous process of causality, as each battle, campaign and Harvest produces preordained responses from the controlling program of the Tomb World. It is well that Obyron is so dedicated, for few lords of Gidrim are eager to fight alongside their Nemesor. Some simply cannot tolerate Zahndrekh's constant stream of reminiscences to battles fought long ago, relevant to the campaign at hand though these recollections always are. Chronometron - The Necrons are the masters of space and time. A Necron Lord with a Chronometron is capable of acting out of phase with the normal flow of space-time, advancing normally while their opponents seem to move in slow motion. This system allows for a great deal of coordination when required, but also still leaves room for independent action by distant combat groups should the need arise. A Platinum-level Necron Lord, also known as a Necron Overlord, has not yet been encountered by Imperial forces.
