About this deal

The rear of the camera contains the eyepiece, power button, joint flash and exposure compensation button and an LED display that tracks your remaining shots. One thing’s for certain, instant snapping isn’t as cheap as digital-only photography, so it’s important to take a good look at what’s available before you get stuck in.

Step into the mesmerising world of instant cameras at Wilkinson Cameras, your one-stop destination for all your photography needs. Like its bigger Polaroid siblings, the Go has a film shield that rolls out with the print to protect it from the light. The app offers dedicated modes for double exposures, night photography, portraits and light painting. The MiNT SLR670 is an SX-70 camera that has been refurbished and modified for shooting 600 film, and for full manual exposure control, making this the first ever . Fujifilm has ingeniously combined retro aesthetics with state-of-the-art technology, transforming every snapshot into a unique, high-quality print. The fixed-focus lens captures photos at 10MP, while the flash can be toggled between off, on and auto mode. Designed for modern iType film, the Now+ also takes old 600 film and produces excellent shots from both, though inevitably you will waste quite a few shots while getting the hang of all the many creative features.

The textured rubber finish makes the camera nice and grippy while the tripod mount means you can keep it steady when shooting long exposures. While this isn’t the first Bluetooth-enabled Polaroid – the previous flagship OneStep+ and Impossible I-1 cameras both featured app integration – this latest version is the most fully featured yet.The filters simply snap onto the lens and come in blue, yellow, orange, red vignettes and a clever starburst filter that produces a great effect on pinpricks of light, such as fairy lights or illuminated signs. Framing shots through the tiny viewfinder can be a little hit and miss, though the selfie mirror on the front is actually pretty effective. I was particularly fond of the manual mode, which offers complete control over the camera’s aperture, shutter speed and focus. Like the Now, the Now+ packs a new autofocus, which uses IR to choose between the camera’s two lenses, and there’s also a more accurate flash which means that more details are captured in each shot. Not only does it combine smartphone control, autofocus and a new dynamic flash with genuine retro tech, it also offers the most creative options we’ve seen on a Polaroid snapper to date.

It’s easy for newbies to use but it’s also got lots of flexibility for vintage photography fans who want to dive into the settings. DOUBLE EXPOSURE: Frame two moments in one with double exposure, or get yourself in the picture with self-timer and an accurate flash to make everyone look like they should.

The camera comes in classic black or white and there’s also a limited range featuring coloured accents. More of a mini printer than a camera, this compact snapper lets you preview and edit your images before you print.
